Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, particularly with seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring to ensure safety.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques and providing a calming presence.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client health or behavior accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or home care preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Ability to provide compassionate caregiving while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is beneficial but not mandatory.
