Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and construction, demonstrating expertise in various aspects of building and renovation projects. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as frameworks, trusses, and door frames.
- Install drywall, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Perform concrete forming for foundations, slabs, and other structures.
- Conduct construction estimating to assess project costs and materials needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading for accurate project execution.
- Strong ability to fabricate components as per specifications.
- Experience with drywall installation techniques.
- Competence in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during construction tasks.
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns.
- Knowledge of basic electrical work related to carpentry projects is advantageous.
- Experience in concrete forming techniques is preferred.

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour
