Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students in various Science subjects (Science 9,10/ Chemistry, Biology, Physics Gr11-12). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with experience working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, helping students improve their understanding of STEM sujects.
Duties
- Conduct individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's learning needs and goals.
- Assist students in understanding complex concepts in various Science subjects (Science 9,10/ Chemistry, Biology, Physics Gr11-12)
- Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials that promote active learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their academic performance.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles, including those of students with special education needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong tutoring or teaching experience (At least 2 years), particularly in Science.
- Excellent computer skills for creating lesson plans and utilizing educational technology.
- Ability to speak Mandarin would be a plus.
- Classroom experience is preferred, showcasing the ability to manage group dynamics effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents.
