Toromont Cat is looking for a Heavy Rental Specialist to join our team! A Rental Specialist utilizes technical expertise to respond to our customer’s rental requests, recommend rental product solutions, provide pricing solutions to win the business while ensuring profitability and ensure timely execution of the customer’s rental requirements. Scope is assigned by regional portfolio and is subject to change based on needs of the business.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Coordinate with branch sales and service teams to ensure we are meeting the customer’s delivery expectations.
  • Manage rental unit deployment from start to finish of the rental period including shipping, work tools configurations and shop requirements
  • Analyze customer job requirements to ensure the proper rental equipment is recommended. Provide detailed technical details to the customers through thorough understanding of their work requirements and diverse product knowledge of all machines and work tools.
  • Prepare rental agreements with accurate pricing, collect insurance and credit releases. Reserve equipment accurately and communicate the execution plan across all stakeholders of every rental. Customer, sales, service, credit, shipping.
  • Active engagement in driving awareness and adoption of rental options through regional sales force including on-going contribution to business unit’s marketing/promotion activities.
  • Assist sales/credit departments with accounts receivable collections/issues and unpaid customer damage collections.

Must-haves for this role:

  • Post Secondary Education with 3+ years experience in a rental or construction industry
  • Experience with heavy equipment would be beneficial
