Overview
Our company specializes in Stormwater Pond cleanout, and we are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating an excavator and will be responsible for performing tasks that require precision and attention to detail as well as labour, including set up and breakdown of jobsite. Must be willing to travel out of town.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders and bulldozer competently
- Labour including setting up and maintaining pumps, hoses and generators
- Dig according to project specifications.
- Grade surfaces and ensure proper grading for drainage and stability.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically Excavators.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Ability to work in various weather and site conditions.
- A valid driver's license is required
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
