Health Care Aide
Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking health care aides to join our Home Services department! Health care aides provide in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance completing activities of daily living.

Health care aides:
- provide personal care and support to clients in client homes according to the service plan,
- monitor and accurately record and report on the status of clients,
- complete appropriate charting in the Alayacare mobile app,
- participate in quality improvement activities,
- recommend changes to service plans as client needs change,
- attend in-services, workshops, and training sessions as required, and
- use appropriate safety measures including universal precautions and infection control procedures.
Required skills and qualifications:
- must be at least 18 years old,
- must have completed a health care aide certificate program that meets the provincial standard,
- must be currently registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory,
- must be able to provide care in accordance with legislation, care plans, and training, and
- must have a valid driver’s license, with current registration and insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
All new employees of LFS must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.
Hours: regular Hourly and Casual work available, must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends
