Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Health Care Aide (HCA) for a weekly Friday morning shift with a senior client in Leduc. This consistent 3-hour visit focuses on showering, personal care, light meal preparation, and companionship walks in a relaxed, familiar home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist client with showering and personal hygiene
- Prepare a light meal or snack as part of the morning routine
- Provide respectful companionship, including walks (weather permitting)
- Support light housekeeping or tidying tasks as needed
- Observe and report any changes in condition
- Offer dependable, professional, and compassionate care
Requirements:
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (from accredited program)
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Fluent in English with clear verbal communication
- Current CPR & First Aid certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Able to work independently and follow established care plans
- Kind, respectful, and comfortable supporting seniors one-on-one
