Four Counties Addiction Services Team (Fourcast) is a community-based addiction treatment service provider that strives to provide the highest quality of evidence-based addiction treatment and case management services. Fourcast offers services across 5 sites in the region. The community treatment program staff work in-office and community settings and are often co-located and integrated with other organizations to reduce barriers for those accessing services.
About The Position...
We are looking for a candidate who would be interested in working full time with the below schedule
Week 1: Monday: OFF, Tuesday: OFF, Wednesday: 9am-9pm, Thursday: 9am-9pm, Friday: 9am-9pm, Saturday: OFF, Sunday: OFF
Week 2: Monday: 9am-9pm, Tuesday: 9am-1pm, Wednesday: OFF, Thursday: OFF, Friday: OFF, Saturday: 9am-9pm, Sunday: 9am-9pm
There is opportunity to also pick up other shift.
Fourcast’s Consumption and Treatment Services is a health service that provides a safe space for service users to consume pre-obtained drugs under the supervision of health professionals.
Working collaboratively in a team model, Harm Reduction Specialists (HRS)-Shift Leads are required to have a solid understanding of current substance use trends, consumption methods and the impacts of a poisoned drug supply. Confidence in an overdose response situation and the ability to provide leadership, education and support is essential to this role. This position requires a high level of self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to provide non-judgmental services within a framework of personal and community boundaries.
Under the direction of a Team Lead, the HRS - Shift Lead will oversee the daily operations of the CTS site in accordance with approved CTS Guidelines and established policies and procedures for operations. Responsibilities will include scheduling, delegating tasks, operational management, conflict resolution, and safety for both service users and employees. The HRS Shift Lead supports all CTS staff to perform their roles in a professional and effective manner and ensures a high-quality experience for service users.

What We're Looking For:
Education:
- Requires a Degree/Diploma in health or social services (Mental Health and Addictions, Social Work etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience such as work or lived experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a safe injection service or other relatable front-line harm reduction service.
- Advanced knowledge of the CTS Operational Standards, Guidelines, Policy and Procedures
- Experience in a drop-in, outreach or shelter setting is an asset.
Certificate, Licenses and Records
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Naloxone Training
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) an asset.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
