Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador is a nonprofit organization that offers over 20 programs and services to people with disabilities residing in the province. This position is full-time and permanent. Based in St. John’s.
The Fund Development and Communications Coordinator- Grant and Proposals will work closely with our Fund Development and Communications Department to identify prospects, develop funding grants and proposals, cultivate foundation and corporate donors, and track metrics.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct prospect research of foundations and corporations to identify key grant opportunities. Identify, explore, and develop new funding opportunities as they present themselves.
Assist with scheduling meetings with prospective foundation/corporate donors and sponsors, and prepare information.
Develop and finalize grants and proposals.
Track the progress of grants and proposals. Maintain records in the database, including all forms of contact with donors.
Support the Capital Campaign by working with other staff and volunteers to implement the campaign plan.
Develop and sustain good working relationships with donors, volunteers, alumni, ESNL staff and members of the community.
Provide assistance and support with all revenue development opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in fundraising with a charitable organization is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in grant and proposal writing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with various software platforms, including Google Workspace, fundraising software, website content management systems, email subscription tools, and Zoom.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
