Golf Shop Attendant
REPORTS TO
Director of Golf
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop. The candidate should have knowledge of the game of golf and deliver excellent customer service. The candidate needs to have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate is responsible for providing exceptional guest experience through various points of contact, merchandising, pro shop retail sales, and guest reception.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sale of and processing of green fees, cart and club rentals, and retail products, booking tee times and tracking club rentals.
- Continuous restocking of Pro Shop products, supplies, and retail products.
- Registering golfers for league play and tournaments.
- Assisting with tournament and event organization (signage, scoring, registration etc.)
- Monitoring of pace of play and communication with Marshalls
- Charging, rotating, and cleaning golf carts (and supervising such work)
- Supervising Back Shop and Outside Services staff
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of Pro Shop - maintaining a clean and professional workspace/retail area including windows, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Following health and safety policies and procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Professional staff
- Closing shift duties include working with Ktchn Staff to ensure communication of pace of play and approximate closing time, reconciling daily deposit, preparing for following morning.
- Available to work a variety of shifts - early morning, afternoon, evenings; weekdays, weekends, & holidays from Sept 1 to November 1
- Effective communication skills: speaking, listening, and responding.
- Enthusiastic and interactive, enjoys working with the public.
- Strives to give great customer service.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as showing individual initiative.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and pace of play concerns
- Comfortable with computers
- Smart Serve certification
- Must have a valid G2 license and unrestricted access to a vehicle.
- May be required to work a rotating schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- First Aid Certificate an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Frequent bending, walking, and standing ()
- Able to lift up to 30Lbs
- Work inside and outside in varying temperatures
