Job Summary:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic General Manager and passionate hands-on leader, who thrives in both the operational and human side of hospitality, to lead a special neighborhood restaurant.
Isetta Café Bistro is more than just a café / coffee shop. It’s a Euro-style experience that has become a community hub on the North Shore where people come to connect, recharge and enjoy great bistro food and drinks. And it attracts tourists and wanderers from all over the Lower Mainland. For hikers to cyclists to car enthusiasts, there is nothing like it in Vancouver.

- Oversee all aspects of restaurant management, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Supervise staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory and cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Conduct interviews and training for new hires, fostering team management and development.
- Implement effective strategies for improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and food safety practices.
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure quality food handling and presentation.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in the food industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Micros POS is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Experience in supervising staff within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with both staff and customers.
- Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus. This position requires dedication to maintaining high operational standards while ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
