Responsibilities As a valued member of our Production team, duties would include but not limited to assembling, fabricating, and inspecting windows and doors, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications while operating machinery and tools safely. You will review orders, prep materials using power tools, hand tools, saws/automated welders. You will assemble various parts of windows and doors, including frames, hardware (hinges, locks, handles), and seals, sealed unit glazing, screen fit, assembly, packaging, and other various tasks. You will operate machinery and tools, such as saws, pneumatic drills, to fabricate and assemble components. You will inspect finished products for defects. You may also be involved in preparing products for shipment by labeling, packing, and loading.
You will be required to keep your workstation and surrounding area clean and organized which is essential for safety and efficiency. You will be required to follow direction of leadership and continuously verify quality through measurement. You will adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Previous experience with general labour/construction/manufacturing an asset (6 months-1 year preferred). Willing to train, but must have a great attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to commit to our team.
- Standing for 8-hr, lifting/maneuvering of products required (medium to heavy lifting, 30-50lbs)
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Handling of materials (manual dexterity required)
- Experience using power tools/hand-tools
- Proven ability to read a tape measure with accuracy and precision is required
- Proven ability of basic math calculations will be required for this position (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Must be safety-conscious and detail oriented
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and 18-yrs of age or older
- Must be available to work Overtime when required
- Must be able to work Saturday shifts when required (dependent on incoming orders and business demands)
