Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man / maintenance manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in repair and maintenance, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage various tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship. As a Handy Man, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality and appearance of residential and commercial properties. We are located halfway between in Sudbury and Timmins off of Highway 144 in a very remote area. You'll be surrounded by nature, hundreds of lakes and miles and miles of trails and bush. Away from the busy hustle and bustle of the city life.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify issues requiring attention.
- Respond promptly to service requests and provide effective solutions.
- Install fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Overseeing a small team to ensure yard work and property maintenance are done efficiently and properly
Experience
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in construction and repair work.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Good physical condition and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients.
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience on equipment an asset
