General Construction Labourer
Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company that is looking for General Construction Labourers to join our Dauphin, Manitoba team.
Job Duties
- Clean up site, removing rubble and other debris using rakes, shovel, wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Clean and perform preparation of job sites including setting up scaffolding
- Provide assistance to craft workers including:
- Build and/or assemble concrete forms and place concrete using rakes, screeds, and trowels
- Place and tie reinforcing steel
- Basic framing, including walls, doors, and windows
- Measure and cut material
- Basic equipment operation
- Handle and transport job materials to the work areas
- Operate hand and power tools
- All other labour duties as required and assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry an asset
- Excellent attitude, communication and teamwork skills, flexible, and open to change
- Knowledge of the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
- An understanding of safe work practices
- The strength, stamina, and ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift and carry items weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Good muscular coordination, agility and balance

- Ability to work with tools, lumber and materials
