Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation, repair, and maintenance of garage doors and related components. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring high-quality service for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers.
- Diagnose issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Ensure proper alignment of doors, including plumb adjustments.
- Restore or refurbish existing garage door systems to extend their lifespan.
- Conduct routine inspections of garage door systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Garage Door Technician or in a similar role within the construction or repair industry.
- Strong skills in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively on-site.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when required.
- Strong customer service and selling skills
