The Iceman is looking for experienced, safe and reliable G-licensed drivers to work from our downtown location and deliver packaged ice throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Available 5-Day Shifts:
1) Monday 10 am to 6:00 pm, Thursday to Saturday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm & Sunday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
2) Monday & Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Note: Flexibility with start times and days of work is required
Pay: $23.25 per hour
Location: 782 Adelaide St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1B4
Driver Duties
- Assist in loading of truck, verify paperwork and conduct safety inspection
- Unload and deliver ice product orders via the most efficient route and document delivery
- Ensure effective customer service and good communication with the dispatcher and shift managers
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario “G” Driver’s License
- At least two years of similar commercial truck driving experience (e.g., 3 ton trucks not vans)
- Due to insurance requirements, you must be at least 25 years of age
- Provide a copy of a recent and clean driving record (i.e., no major violations) and must pass annual driving record check
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to consistently lift or move objects up to 23 kg (50 pounds)
- Proficient in English and able to follow instructions and written procedures
