A spot has opened up to join our family as a Pharmacy Assistant with a minimum of 30 hours per week at our Newmarket and Holland Landing locations!
Key responsibilities:
- Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling,
- Data entry of patient care information into Fillware Computer,
- Receiving of wholesaler medication order, pricing, and placing on shelf,
- Third Party adjudication (if necessary),
- Accurate dispensing prescription medications,
- Maintenance of pharmacy stock (expiries, etc.)
- General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary,
- Handling customer prescription pick up,
- Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
- Regular house-keeping of pharmacy (Cleaning, Shredding)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fillware Experience an Asset;
- Must have EXCELLENT communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;
- Demonstrated customer service experience;
- Strong motivation to succeed;
- Proficient computer/data/entry skills.
