This is a Permanent position commencing September 2, 2025.
As a member of the Lord Selkirk School Division, Student Services Team, the Psychologist will assist with a wide range of multi-disciplinary services that help meet the educational, social, emotional and communication needs of students while collaboratively working with schools and families. The Psychologist will provide services to support student learning, assessments and programming.
Qualifications:
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate. - A Master's Degree in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
- Experience with Student Specific Plans (SSP's), academic and behavior.
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all members of a school team, families, and the community.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply best teaching practices for diverse learners.
- Have experience and understanding of differentiated instruction, assessment and universally designed programming.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the assessment process for students.
- Complete screening and risk assessments and safety plans for students and make recommendations for supports.
- Model quality, inclusive teaching and assessment practices that promote student success.
- Collaborate with the families and care providers during the assessment process to ensure that all aspects of the students physical, mental, social, emotional, and cultural needs promote the wellbeing and safety of students.
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Have skills and abilities to work with student with exceptionalities.
- Use multiple strategies appropriate for particular students' learning styles.
Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

Pay: From $68,635.00 per year
