Part-Time Cannabis Retail Associate
Position Overview
Olympus Cannabis, a licensed cannabis retailer, is dedicated to providing exceptional service in a professional and customer-centered environment. We are currently looking for a part-time Cannabis Retail Associate to join our team. This role involves guiding customers through their cannabis shopping experience while delivering knowledgeable and friendly service. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication abilities, a solid understanding of cannabis products, and the confidence to upsell when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sales deliveries

- Welcome customers and assist them with product selection and service inquiries
- Educate guests on cannabis offerings such as strains, edibles, and accessories using up-to-date product knowledge
- Operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy, handling all transactions and cash responsibly
- Apply effective selling techniques to improve the overall customer experience and drive sales
- Keep the premises clean and well-organized, ensuring product displays are visually appealing
- Address customer questions and resolve concerns in a courteous, professional manner
- Stay updated on company policies, cannabis trends, and product developments to better serve clientele
- Verify customer age and ID upon entry in compliance with provincial laws
- Provide product suggestions based on customer preferences and needs
- Clearly communicate potential effects, usage guidelines, and safety considerations for cannabis products
- Adhere strictly to all Ontario Cannabis Retail regulations during every customer interaction
- Refill shelves and rotate stock as necessary to keep displays current
- Follow store protocols for safety, security, opening, and closing duties
- Help manage inventory and restocking procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older (legal requirement)
- Possess a valid G-Class driver’s license
- Clear criminal record check is required
- CannSell certification or willingness to complete it prior to start date
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Capable of operating a POS system and accurately managing cash transactions
- Solid understanding of cannabis products, tools, and consumer usage
- Availability for various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent multitasking and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining a polished appearance and behavior in a regulated setting
- Fluency in English is required
- Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles, especially in cannabis, is a plus
- Sales-oriented mindset with a proven ability to close product sales
- Basic math skills and prior cashiering experience are preferred
- Genuine interest in cannabis and helping others learn about its benefits and uses
Role Details
- Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent
- Hourly Wage: $17.25 – $18.25
- Expected Weekly Hours: 15–30
