Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience to our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your role will be vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers while efficiently managing orders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Assist in monitoring and stocking levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Manage time effectively to fulfill orders promptly while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons and fellow staff members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
