Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities by performing routine maintenance and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all residents, staff and visitors.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Systems for tracking maintenance activities and scheduling.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Lead and supervise contractors during projects or repairs, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related concerns and improve overall operations.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents and staff regarding maintenance issues.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Leadership abilities to supervise maintenance contractors effectively.
- Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventative measures.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, logic controllers, and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of software such as spreadsheet and data base programs
- Mechanical knowledge to perform hands-on repairs and installations.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
