Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a passion for improving the lives of patients.
Duties
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Conducting patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
- Assisting with daily living activities and providing personal care to patients
- Collaborating with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Documenting patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding health management
- Assisting with IV infusion, catheterization, and other medical procedures as needed
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:
- Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth EMR systems
- Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers
- Long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home environments
- Hospital experience in acute care settings including emergency medicine, ICU, or medical-surgical units
- Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care experience
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation
- Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, or home health settings is a plus
