The Best Western Plus Emerald Isle located in beautiful Sidney, BC, is currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our team of hospitality professionals, and add another supervisor to our Front Office team. This position is permanent, full time (40 hours per week). You must be available to work evening, weekends and holidays.
- Monitor activities of all employees in the Front Office department making sure they adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment.
- Act as manager on duty for the hotel during your shift, dealing with complaints, problem-solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.
- Review reservations for accuracy.
- Control cash transactions at the front desk and prepare bank deposits for management.
- Assist with airline bookings and room assignments.
- Oversee preparation of daily, monthly, and annual summary reports.
- Assist with inventory of supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Following proper privacy and security procedures, as well as health & safety guidelines.
Starting wage is $24 per hour, plus commissions on reservations.
