Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Freelance Camera Operator to join our content production team in Mississauga. This project-based, commission-only opportunity is ideal for professionals who want flexible hours, creative freedom, and income potential directly tied to client volume and performance.
You will be involved in creating reels, promotional videos, interviews, podcast footage, influencer content, and social media campaigns. Your role will be hands-on, dynamic, and growth-focused—with opportunities to evolve into a long-term creative partnership as our studio scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate professional camera equipment to film a variety of content formats including interviews, ads, events, and social media campaigns
- Set up lighting and audio equipment as needed for high-quality recording
- Collaborate with internal team members such as producers, influencers, scriptwriters, and editors to bring creative concepts to life
- Execute both in-studio and on-location shoots with precision and storytelling focus
- Assist in visual planning, storyboarding, and organizing footage for post-production
- Capture content in both horizontal and vertical formats for multi-platform delivery
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in videography or camera operation (freelance, agency, or in-house)
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless or cinema-grade camera systems
- Knowledge of lighting, audio capture, and cinematic filming techniques
- Access to or ownership of camera and gear preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Must be available for on-site shoots in Mississauga
