Job Title: Carpenter - Indoor Work Environment (Leadership Potential)
Are you looking for a stable, indoor carpentry job without the hassle of unpredictable weather? Tired of working in rain, mud, or extreme heat? We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to join our team in a permanent, full-time position. This position offers growth potential, with the opportunity to transition into a leadership role and serve as a back-up for the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry tasks with precision in a controlled, indoor environment.
- Operate various power tools, including air nailers, staplers, table saws, skill saws, and sawzalls.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure and basic blueprints.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn other software programs.
- Work collaboratively with the team, ensuring clear communication with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
- Maintain a customer-focused attitude, ensuring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Efficiently organize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Take on additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma (required).
- Ability to pass a criminal record check.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Proven experience in framing or carpentry (required).
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Passion for carpentry, a commitment to quality, and a desire for growth and advancement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a warehousing environment.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment, i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks.
