Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Framer/ Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various framing techniques and construction processes. This role involves working on diverse projects, including agricultural and commercial buildings, where you will be responsible for constructing frameworks that support roofs, walls, and other structures. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install frameworks for buildings using wood, metal studs, or other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate framing.
- Perform metal building erection and concrete forming as required.
- Install metal cladding/ windows/ trim
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in frame carpentry and metal stud framing techniques.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with woodworking practices and materials.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills for accurate project execution.
- Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of welding techniques can be beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
