Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of productivity and safety.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in warehouse distribution processes and practices.
- Experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
