Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Forklift /Warehouse Personnel for our Grande Prairie facility located in Hythe, Alberta. This position is responsible for loading and unloading of trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting control with inventory documentation and full adherence to safety compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars and lifting devices
- Ship and receive product
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation
- Coordinate the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of designated freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of corporate warehouses
- Communicate delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties
- Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments; make adjustments where necessary
- Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations
- Perform routine maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Forklift Safety Training certificate an asset
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate verbally
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must be physically able to lift heavy material
- Safety Training an asset but will train as required
