Qualifications:
· Graduated from an approved program in Food Service & Nutrition Management or equivalent (required)
· 2-5 years related supervisory experience in a unionized health care setting is preferred.
· Two years’ cooking experience in a Health Care setting preferred.
· Red Seal Certification required
· Food Handlers Certificate required
· Knowledge of and relevant prior experience in general dietary procedures, therapeutic diets and menu preparation.
· Capable of sustained physical exertion (handles moderate weight materials, occasionally handles heavy weight materials)
· Organizational abilities
· Ability to work well with others.
· Knowledge of and relevant experience with computer systems an asset.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.
· Criminal Records Check completed within six months mandatory.
