Four Counties Addiction Services Team (Fourcast) is a community-based addiction treatment service provider that strives to provide the highest quality of evidence-based addiction treatment and case management services. Fourcast offers services across 5 sites in the region. The community treatment program staff work in-office and community settings and are often co-located and integrated with other organizations to reduce barriers for those accessing services.
About The Position...
We are looking for experienced individual for our soon to open Residential Treatment Centre:
Working Monday to Friday 4 hours a day.
Reporting to the Program Manager – Residential Programs, the Food Services Worker is responsible for overseeing all food-related activities in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Four Counties Addiction Services Team (Fourcast) residential programs, which include a 6-bed addiction treatment facility and a 6-bed withdrawal management facility. The 35-Day Intensive Residential Program supports individuals in exploring and achieving their substance use goals through a structured schedule of treatment activities offered seven days a week, while the service user resides on-site or in their home setting. Whereas, the residential withdrawal management service provides a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for individuals experiencing withdrawal symptoms, helping them move forward in their recovery journeys.
The Food Services Worker in this residential setting is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and the individual needs of service users. They ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations, while also managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining food storage standards. Working closely with program staff, the Food Services Worker supports the overall well-being of service users by contributing to a respectful, home-like environment that aligns with the goals of the treatment and withdrawal management programs.

What We're Looking For:
Education & Training
- Food Service Worker Certification
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification
- Food Handlers Certification
- Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating, therapeutic diets, and current best practice to meet the nutritional needs of clients during and after their recovery journey
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a related position preferred, ideally in a residential addiction or residential withdrawal management setting.
- Demonstrated experience in a complex customer service, client service response environment.
Certifications, Licenses and Records
- Valid First Aid/CPR.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
- Ontario’s Food safety Handlers course certificate
- Food Service Worker Certification
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Proven ability to set and maintain professional and personal boundaries in a supportive residential environment.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and strong analytical skills to respond effectively to changing needs and situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, public health standards, and infection prevention and control practices to ensure a safe working and living environment.
- Familiarity with Canada’s Food Guide, therapeutic diets, and culturally appropriate meal planning.
