Food Service Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our food service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a team, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Manage daily operations of the food service area, including staff scheduling and training.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions at the POS system.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
• Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere through effective communication and leadership.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
• Provide guidance on serving techniques and hospitality best practices to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
• Prior supervisory experience is essential, demonstrating effective team management skills.
• Knowledge of food handling practices, safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
• Experience in interviewing, training, and evaluating employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in hospitality or hotel services is advantageous, along with barista experience if applicable.
