Overview
Fresh In The City is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Production Operative to join our team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient and timely packaging of our ready-to-eat products, maintaining high standards of food safety, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. This position requires focus, agility, and teamwork to meet our fast-paced production goals.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wrap and package desserts and other ready-to-eat food items according to company standards
- Accurately cut, portion, and label products to maintain quality and consistency
- Follow established time targets for each task to meet daily production goals
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Perform basic inspections and report any equipment issues to management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and safe production operations
- Keep accurate records of production activities as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production or packaging is an asset but not required
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and workplace hygiene
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Basic English comprehension to understand instructions and communicate with the team
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed
