Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while handling food orders and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Prepare food items in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, upselling menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen equipment to meet sanitation standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including serving food and beverages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure high-quality service.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Experience with cashiering and upselling techniques is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
