Join our team as a Floor Associate and play a vital role in providing fresh food and exceptional service to our valued customers. As a key team member, you will be responsible for ordering, merchandising, and maintaining the upkeep of the produce and grocery departments to ensure high-quality and fresh products at all times. The ideal part-time candidate will be able to work three shifts per week (16-24 hours) and must be available to work Saturdays. The ideal full-time candidate will be able to work 30-40 hours/week and must be available on Saturdays.

Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Ensuring that all produce meets our high standards for freshness, appearance, and taste.
- Merchandising: Creating appealing displays that showcase our products
- Inventory Management: Place orders, stock, rotate, merchandise and face product. Monitoring stock levels, proper rotation, and minimizing spoilage.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Keeping the department clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service. Handle all inquiries and/or complaints professionally, doing everything possible to ensure a successful resolution.
- Cash Handling: Process transactions at the Point of Sale, including returns/exchanges as necessary.
- Communication: Liaise and communicate effectively with Head Office, management, and store-level personnel.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the department clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Work Environment: Maintain a positive, safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Other: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proficiency in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
- Experience with POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products based on customer needs.
- Ability to stand, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Have previous grocery store knowledge/experience
- Have previous experience working in a customer service-oriented environment
- Have an interest in all natural, organic, local and healthy ingredients and foods
- Have a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Have the ability to work independently or as a team
