Flexographic Press Operator
ASL Print FX has one opening for a permanent, full-time, Flexographic Press Operator; please note this job posting is for an existing vacancy.
Who you are:
- Experienced operating flexographic presses (minimum 5 years).
- Mechanical mindset and eager to learn.
- Skilled in performing shop math including fractions, percentages and precise measurements.
- Detailed oriented / problem solver
- Good communicator (verbal and written skills)

Primary responsibilities
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency running various products on flexographic presses.
- Performing job order review to ensure job requirements are known and understood.
- Setting up / adjusting the press for job runs and closely monitoring machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications.
- Monitoring product quality during production runs by checking it against drawings and established quality standards.
- Taking corrective measures when quality standards are not met and recommending measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety.
- Troubleshooting and correcting most press operating problems.
- Completing accurately all related job paperwork.
- Ensuring outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
- Performing routine press maintenance, safety checks, upkeep and cleaning.
- Maintaining acceptable productivity standards while minimizing raw material waste.
- Following manufacturing and processing procedures, setting machine or equipment controls, carrying out production and inspection processes as documented.
- Ensuring proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Maintaining a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
- Communicating with Supervisor, Lead Hand, Quality Assurance, as needed for any issue that arises during production.
- Other duties as assigned.
