With your leading edge business approach and skills, you will:- support the annual Multi-Year Planning (MyP) process and in-year management of transfer payments, direct operating expenses, municipal grants, allocations, financial planning, monitoring, analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, financial policy development and co-ordination and financial tracking and reporting
- provide financial information, business and financial solutions
- co-ordinate and participate in projects
What you bring to the team
Financial Knowledge
- You have demonstrated knowledge of accounting, auditing and finance principles generally acquired through formal education and/or experience, to provide expertise and support in relation to budget, forecasting, business planning process, financial controls, recording and reporting.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- You have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial statements and financial information to identify issues and provide recommendations.
Interpersonal and Influencing Skills
- You have demonstrated oral and written communications skills and presentation skills.
- You have the ability to convey business issues and to liaise with staff to resolve issues.
- You have proven persuasion skills to inform/urge managers to follow required policies and instructions.
Project Management and Organizational Skills
- You have proven project management, organizational and co-ordination skills.
- You have the ability to set priorities and work within tight deadlines.
Technical Skills
- You have proficiency with computer operations including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, financial management systems, database, communication and presentation software to create and maintain spreadsheets, analyze and produce quality reports and presentations.
