Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is presently recruiting for a
FINANCE MANAGER
Thunder Bay, ON
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Finance Manager consults and advises employees in the development of financial strategies, cash management, account reconciliation, general ledger, administration, and payment processing within the Finance Department to expedite day- to-day operations.
Qualifications:
- College or University education in Accounting or Finance and/or Business Administration,
- An Accounting Designation would be considered an asset.
- 3-5 years in a financial role
- 3-5 years of supervisory or managerial roles
- An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls together with ability to implement same in a non-profit setting;
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial planning;
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Able to make decisions based on existing policy and available information;
- Able to operate the following computer applications: Adagio, PayDirt, Softworks and Microsoft products;
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Maintain Confidentiality regarding financial transactions and activities;
- The ability to speak Cree, Ojibway, or Oji-Cree would be an asset.

Salary: $78,287
