Role Overview
As a Finance Intern, you will work directly with the leadership team to help underwrite and analyze potential real estate acquisitions, while also assisting in the preparation of high-impact investment materials. Your work will directly support decision-making and investor communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Proforma Development
- Assist in building and updating real estate financial models (pro forma) for acquisition, development, or repositioning opportunities.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to support investment decisions.
- Presentation & Memo Creation
- Help draft internal and external presentations (PowerPoint) for investment committee and investor-facing materials.
- Contribute to the creation of detailed offering memorandums that clearly communicate the investment thesis, financials, and market context.
- Market & Property Research
- Conduct research on real estate markets, trends, and comparable transactions to inform underwriting and presentations.
- Analyze financial statements, operating performance, and budgets.
- Administrative & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with team members across departments on special projects related to acquisitions and asset management.
- Maintain and organize deal-related documentation and tracking files.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, functions) and PowerPoint (clean layout and visual communication).
- Prior experience or coursework in accounting, financial modeling, or real estate investment is a strong plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
