Are you looking to gain sales experience, work outdoors, and support Indigenous communities?
Apply for our Fall Weekend Market Sales Associate position where you will have the opportunity to interact with local community leaders, meet new people and develop professional sales skills! This position is fully on-site at Farmer’s Markets on Saturdays and Sundays across Toronto selling incredible products on behalf of our Indigenous Fishery partners, with our home base office at 478 Queen St E.
*Weekend availability and access to a vehicle is a requirement*

First Fish is a non-profit organization in Toronto working with Indigenous communities across Canada to bring Wild-Caught Fish to the rest of Canada!
At First Fish, we've made it our mission to provide our customers with the most responsibly sourced and sustainable seafood products available while supporting the communities it came from. All of our fish is wild, sustainable, and all caught by local Indigenous communities across Canada.

Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of First Fish products to provide accurate information to new and existing customers to promote products
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and a positive shopping experience
- Utilize upselling techniques to drive sales opportunities while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Handle transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain organized documents and sales records
- All associated set-up and tear down activities at the Farmers Market booth
- Provide feedback to improve customer experience
Qualifications

- Able to lift 30lbs (Required)
- Previous sales, customer service, or retail experience is an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $20.00 per hour
