Summary
We are seeking a Cashier/Sales associate to join our team at Matz Fruit Barn. In this role, you will be responsible for managing transactions, assisting customers with their purchases, grading some produce and promoting our wide range of fresh produce. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
- Promote special offers and product demonstrations to encourage sales.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
- Grading produce to put out for sale
Requirements
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
