Overview:
We are seeking compassionate Indigenous individuals to join our agency, specializing in Group Youth Care and Family Reunification. As a Family Enrichment Worker, you will play a critical role in providing essential care and support to individuals from varying backgrounds and life experiences. We make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we support, from youth ranging 0-18 years of age, to families in need of support before returning to their communities.
Schedule: 9-day rotation : 8-hour shifts for 6 days followed by 3 days off on a repeating rotation. Shift options are 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am.
Core Duties but not limited to:
- Collaborates with multi-faceted team to develop and employ strategies to attain goals of growth with clients according to their Healing Plans
- Utilizes culturally sensitive support to clients experiencing crisis
- Recognizes signs of dysregulation and provides intervention using compassion
- Assists with daily routines and activities while promoting personal growth through teachable moments
- Builds strong rapport with every client while maintaining professional boundaries
- Inspires and builds upon client interests and strengths
- Helps prepare meals following an in-house meal plan when required
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all, including light housekeeping
- Completing of Critical Incident reports, documenting and transport to/from for appointments and community outings.
Experience:
- Prior experience in group homes, youth work, or social services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and empathy towards people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A recent Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector (CRIM) and an Intervention Record Check (IRC) are required to begin work. Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
