The Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility. This position involves a variety of tasks related to facility operation, including loading and unloading trucks, operating grain cleaners, housekeeping, and ensuring compliance with safety and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and succeed. The potential to develop into an Assistant Manager exists for the right candidate.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the facility and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks. Load rail cars and shipping containers with product.
- Perform regular facility housekeeping activities (sweeping, shoveling, etc.).
- Operate grain cleaners to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Perform light equipment maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, shipments, and processing.
Requirements

- Familiarity with agricultural products and production facilities an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
There will be potential for overtime shifts to generate extra pay. Reliable daily travel to and from Delisle, SK is a requirement.
