Facility Administrator

Yellowknife, NT
Reports to: Administrative Lead
Department: Northern Facilities

Empowered to Excel. Trusted to Make a Difference.

Join one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies of 2025!

At KBL, we do things differently. As Western Canada’s largest environmental waste management company — born in the North and built on resilience — we’ve grown by trusting our people and backing bold ideas. We’re proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, and we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for a Facility Administrator to support our growing operations in the North. In this role, you’ll help keep our values alive — ensuring that as we scale, we continue to lead with care, connection, and community.

What you’ll do:

  • Support operations, admin, inventory, and compliance reporting.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers and vendors.
  • Manage order entry, invoicing, and shipment scheduling.
  • Assist with safety checks, inspections, and documentation.
  • Provide general office support and help keep daily operations on track.

Who you are:

  • A positive, organized team player with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (experience with SAGE is a plus).
  • A critical thinker who works well under pressure.
  • Holder of a valid Class 5 driver’s license, willing to learn loader/forklift.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

This role may require a combination of office-based, remote, and on-site work depending on business needs. Employees should be prepared for:

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, or computer use
  • Occasional travel to operational sites or client locations
  • Exposure to outdoor or industrial environments, including varying weather and terrain
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols

We’re committed to providing a safe, supportive work environment. Reasonable accommodations are available to support individuals of all abilities in performing the essential functions of their role.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Trust & Empowerment: No red tape. Just real responsibility, ownership, and the flexibility to do your best work
  • Growth & Agility: We’re entrepreneurial by nature—quick to adapt and deeply invested in your development
  • Care & Commitment: From top-tier benefits (including $3,000 annually for psychological support) to a focus on safety and wellness, we put our people first
  • Meaningful Impact: Your work helps build safer, cleaner communities across Canada—and that’s something to be proud of

Perks That Go Further

  • Competitive salary and benefits—including $3,000/year for psychological services
  • RRSP matching, wellness account, and flexible work options
  • Empowered culture with minimal bureaucracy—we trust our people to get the job done
  • A modern, comfortable workspace

We’re Proud of Where We Come From—and Where We’re Going

Founded in the North in 2006 and led by an EY Entrepreneur of the Year, KBL continues to grow with purpose and agility. We share our success with our people and invest in their well-being every step of the way.

KBL is committed to diversity and inclusion. Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants as per contractual requirements. We encourage you to self-identify your Indigenous status and community on your resume if applicable. Accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process.
