Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, and stack all sorts of structural steel. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, unloading and loading various structural steel.
- Execute loading and unloading paint bays efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring all products are handled safely.
- Collaborate with team members
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while operating machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
