Job Summary
In this newly created position, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Expeditor / Account Manager to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you’ll play a critical part in driving the flow of projects across engineering, production, and supply chain—ensuring timelines are met, risks are mitigated, and communication flows seamlessly between departments and clients. You'll coordinate with internal departments, monitor schedules, and proactively resolve delays to keep projects on track. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience and a strong background in expediting, project coordination, or production planning.
Duties
- Expedite all project materials and equipment in accordance with the expediting plan and project schedule.
- Monitor production flow, engineering, and manufacturing schedules to ensure timelines are maintained and proactively manage potential delays.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal disciplines to maintain project schedules.
- Interface with clients and project members regarding expediting issues and provide proactive corrective measures.
- Ensure submission and approval of all relevant documentation as per the client purchase order.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Surveillance to ensure timely inspections and efficient handling of Non-Conformity Reports.
- Manage packing lists and delivery documentation, including export/import requirements.
- Collaborate with Logistics to facilitate delivery as per the terms specified in the purchase order.
- Work with Materials Management to plan for receipt of equipment and materials.
- When required, resolve any Underage, Overage, Shortage, or Damages (UOS&D) at the time of receipt.
- Ensure issuance of Material Receiving Reports (MRR) for received items.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in EPC, specifically in expediting, project coordination, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Background knowledge in manufacturing project management, Supplier Quality Surveillance, Logistics, Field Experience, and Materials Management.
- Strong planning and interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for interaction with clients, senior leaders, and team members.
- Team-centric approach with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on detail and follow-through with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or Project Management, is an asset.
