Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of banquet & event cooking. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining cleanliness and organization is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that delight customers
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree is a plus
