Job Purpose
To ensure a clean and safe environment in accordance with the contract’s scope of work while supporting the effective operation of the client’s premises. The role involves leading and guiding employees to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support evening housekeeping staff, ensuring completion of all assigned tasks efficiently and to standard.
- Assign and adjust daily work schedules to meet operational needs.
- Monitor staff attendance, performance, and adherence to policies, reporting concerns to the Daytime Manager.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Communicate daily updates, safety concerns, and operational issues to the Daytime Manager.
- Provide training for new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and equipment use.
- Oversee supply and equipment management, including inventory and maintenance needs.
- Coordinate cleaning support for events and seasonal deep cleaning projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection-control policies.
- Maintain records of schedules, incident reports, and quality control inspections.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Previous experience in custodial cleaning and supervisory roles.
- Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including SDS compliance.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation.
Position: Evening Housekeeping Supervisor
Hours: Monday–Friday, 4:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m.
Flexibility: Candidate must be flexible, as shifts may change and occasional weekend work may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
