The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Evaluation Specialist to join our Evaluation and Reporting Team at CUPS.
As an Evaluation Specialist, you will provide technical expertise and conduct evaluations of CUPS programs, strategic initiatives, and post-project initiatives. The role builds capacity and readiness for evaluation within CUPS.
The Evaluation Specialist works in an ever-evolving environment and collaborates with diverse partners to design and execute evaluations, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations to shape future programming.

REPORTS TO: Director, Evaluation and Impact
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week
STARTING ANNUAL SALARY RATES: $74,000 to $78,396
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the Director of Evaluation & Impact in designing, executing and sustaining CUPS’ Evaluation Framework and other strategy projects.
· Design and implement quantitative and qualitative evaluations, as well as quality improvement & research methodologies, to continuously assess CUPS health and social programs.
· Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners to gather, validate and integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
· Conduct statistical analyses using tools such as SPSS, NVivo, and Microsoft.
· Leverage data analysis and visualizations to inform decision-making through compelling narratives.
· Translate complex findings into clear, evaluable and actional recommendations
· Support the development of reports, dashboards, and other knowledge transfer products to summarize findings.
· Facilitate discussions with CUPS programs and leadership to review findings and assess organizational impact.
Leadership:
· Under the direction of the Director of Evaluation and Impact, partner with operational leaders and CUPS colleagues at all levels of the organization to advance evaluation and advocacy goals.
· Exercise project-level decision-making authority within the defined parameters of evaluation plans, including selecting appropriate methodologies, managing timelines, and adapting implementation strategies to ensure evaluation objectives are met effectively.
· Promote the values, Purpose & service delivery frameworks of CUPS both internally and externally.
· Provide guidance to team members to support organizational or funder reporting requirements.
· Lead or participate in meetings with internal and external partners as required.
· Foster collective learning and knowledge exchange within CUPS.
Collaboration and Relationship Management:
· Work in collaboration with cross-functional team members, assisting in all areas when required to support objectives.
· Develop and maintain collaborative and accountable working relations with internal CUPS colleagues to strengthen communication flow and success of workflow, evaluation and advocacy efforts.
What You Bring
Education and Experience:
· Master’s degree in Social Sciences with 3+ years of relevant quantitative and qualitative statistical and analytical experience.
· Considerable evaluation experience and/or research experience managing complex projects, analyzing data, producing reports and recommendations.
· Strong proficiency in developmental, formative and summative evaluation methodologies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Subject matter expertise in research and evaluation methods.
