Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our established standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary needs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation during service hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper food handling and preparation techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
