Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator / RFP Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling proposals that effectively communicate our services and solutions to potential clients. This role will focus on preparing accurate cost estimates, writing compelling proposals, and ensuring we submit winning bids for both public and private contracts.
Responsibilities
- Review bid invitations, RFPs, and tender documents to determine requirements and scope.
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for janitorial, post-construction, and specialty cleaning projects.
- Prepare high-quality written proposals that clearly present NewGen’s value proposition, capabilities, and pricing.
- Collaborate with operations and management to gather data for pricing and timelines.
- Maintain a database of pricing, supplier quotes, and historical project costs.
- Track submission deadlines and ensure timely delivery of proposals.
- Identify potential bid opportunities and assist in pre-qualification processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator, Proposal Writer, or similar role in the cleaning, construction, or service industry.
- Strong understanding of RFP/tender processes and contract requirements.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to craft persuasive, client-focused proposals.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimating.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with estimating software is an asset.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
